Did you know play time is also learning time?
With music, books, art, dramatic play, movement and creative projects, learning is always exciting and builds self-esteem.
Children learn through many play activities such as dramatic play, creative play, manipulative play, constructive play, and spontaneous play. Children are terrific learners and eager to try new things. My program offers activities to encourage questions, confidence, interaction and most of all, creativity and discovery.
I am licensed by the State of Wisconsin and participate in the USDA food program. Each child will receive a nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snacks prepared on the premises.
We have planned activities, circle time, playtime, quiet time for me to read to them, and nap time. They learn through fine motor skills, gross motor skills, cognitive, social and sensory activities. They will find the learning to be like play but we will really be pouring knowledge into their young minds. Monthly themes, weekly topics, and daily activities keep the curriculum focused and fun. We do a letter of the week, which reinforces reading readiness through letter recognition skills. We go outside daily weather permitting. Our play yard is a Certified School Yard Habitat recognized by the Wildlife Federation. The classroom offers stimulating centers including Math & Manipulative, Science & Sensorial, Reading & Listening, Dramatic Play, Construction & Design, and Creativity & Art.
